History
ABSOE has been in business since 1986 buying and selling a wide range of new and second hand office equipment, shop fittings, shelving, and pallet racking.
We first opened for business on 1st July 1986 at 20 Donkin Street, West End, in an old factory.
In the first weeks of business customers were thanking us for being in business – by sourcing stock for businesses we knew that Absoe had found its place in the market. At first we had one salesman and a few storemen. Today we have 30 people on our team. This shows what a good idea, combined with a plan and a team, can achieve in a short space of time.
Over time, our range and expertise has grown. Today we have four main departments:
and one Buying Department; we actively purchase office furniture, shop fittings and pallet racking.
We cover most products required by:
- Retailers, e.g. shop counters, point-of-sale, showcases, wall display units
- Small Businesses, e.g. storage equipment, shop counters, pallet racking, longspan racking
- Corporates and Government, e.g., office furniture, archive storage, and
- Fledgling business, e.g. affordable second hand office furniture and retail equipment.
In the last decade foreign imports have made inroads on the Australian used business equipment market. While competitors may offer cheaper variations, at Absoe, after over 30 years in the business of supplying durable stock to other businesses, we know that quality wins over quantity every time.
Online shops have also made inroads in allowing buyers to find products, yet we also understand the value in sourcing quality business equipment and the means to safely and efficiently transport it at a reasonable price to our customers.
